Halloween Felted Rat in a Shoe Eats Candy Corn
Here we have the silly ol’ rat named Malloy, dressed in skeleton attire for the upcoming Halloween festivities. He resides in an old leather shoe perched atop a pile of gnarled twigs. This Halloween has been especially good to him as he was showered with candy corn from a crow overhead “ I shall see you at the Halloween Ball!” cried the crow as he flew out of sight and deep into the moonlit forrest.
Little ol’ rat named Malloy is a hand needle felted wool rat, made by me, L.Sim, with handmade polymer clay eyes, wire, needle felted candy corn, an antique leather baby shoe, twigs made of twigs and paper clay, acrylic paint and other things such as glue, string, floss, leather, thread, etc…
He is fixed inside an antique baby shoe which is fixed upon a stand of sturdy twigs. From the bottom of the gnarled twig stand to the top of his little leather hat he measures 9” and approximately 6” wide.
He may have a rough and tumble exterior however Malloy is a delicate sort and requires gentle handling.
