This antique lunch box is filled with Old MacDonald Had a Farm scenarios.

Each side tells a story!

All hand made and painted by me, L.Sim ( aka Lisa Simonson ) Using mixed media collage , images and words taken from old fashioned children books and blended with acrylic painting, I set out to create a somewhat slapstick day at the farm. Horses, cows, chicks, chickens and pigs…Vegetables and farming, a tractor and a barn, E-I-E-I-Oh!

This is an antique metal lunch box, primed and painted with acrylic paints. I used sculptural elements in the top lid with paper cache, cardboard and hay. Some farm animals are cut outs while others are painted by me. The backgrounds are painted with acrylic paints. Old MacDonald nursery rhyme lyrics are pasted throughout.

Old metal lunchbox measures 10” wide, 7” tall and 5” deep.
